.05% loss of 200 bu corn is 1 bu. 1 bushel is roughly 2.4 times the amount you actually planted. It doesn’t take much loss to look terrible. And most of us have had ideal growing conditions for volunteer corn this fall. (Enough moisture and warm growing conditions). It looks terrible, but not much anyone can do about it. I think most of us are losing less than we think, it just looks really bad. Lol.
