SE SD | Mother in law day is October 24. I didn't know there was one till I heard it on the radio one day last year. I happened to be in town so I called their house and asked if they going to be home for awhile. I said don't go anywhere I'll be there in a bit. I stopped by the flower shop and headed over there. I came in with a big bouquet of flowers. Mother in law was dumbfounded as to why. After some stalling, I let the cat out of the bag and she instantly started crying. She didn't know of her holiday either but I made her day because that's all she talked to everyone for days afterwards.
I know I've heard all the stories of how bad Mother in laws can be but I have to say I have the best. I've been married to her daughter for 30 years now. My mother is gone so she is my mom now.
