Iowa | There is a lot to see in that area. Yellow River Forest is a big state park that is off the beaten path.

There are probably a lot of good places to eat in Decorah, but the Old Armory BBQ is the only one I've been to. It was good BBQ.
A lot of the roads in NEIA near the river have nice views if you are not in a hurry. There are a lot of interesting things to see all along the river in general. You can't go wrong in either direction.
