I’m turning 800 rpm,pulling it with a d342 caterpillar,plenty of torque.
When I bought this mill 26 years ago the track and carriage was all made out of 4x6 lumber and I built it out of steel around 15 years ago.
There’s a big mill about 25 miles north of me that a sawfiler goes to once a week to hammer their saws and I meet him there and he does it on their anvil.
WOW . . . .. Very interesting. Thanks again for sharing. That guy has got to have a very specific set of skills for what he's doing. How would you even teach that ? (Sawfiling skills)
