Near Richmond, IN | Bob, I've made it for many years using Junket Vanilla ice cream mix and I've found no one that thinks they've had better. My mixer makes 6 qts and my recipe is:
6 jumbo eggs, 3 pts half and half, 3 cups sugar, 2 tablespoons real vanilla, 3 packages Junket mix. Best the eggs and add half and half, mix in sugar, vanilla and junket. Then add whole milk to fill it. My sister tells me I shouldn't use raw eggs but I reminded her our family has made it that way for over 60 yrs and no one has ever got sick! I make it often so we always have some in the freezer! | |
