Chebanse, IL.....

In the past I don't think we shot our own spies. What you want to do with them in your country is your business.

Seems being a spy is like being in military. There is a chance you won't make it home due to one thing or another,  which is why they sold us that $1000 limited life insurance policy in 1968.

The Rosenberg family did immeasurable damage by giving or atomic bomb secrets to the Russians. They weren't just an innocent little couple that said "hi" to the wrong person.

From our President Eisenhow:

Many Americans, however, believed that the Rosenbergs had been dealt with justly. They agreed with President Dwight D. Eisenhower when he issued a statement declining to invoke executive clemency for the pair. He stated, “I can only say that, by immeasurably increasing the chances of atomic war, the Rosenbergs may have condemned to death tens of millions of innocent people all over the world. The execution of two human beings is a grave matter. But even graver is the thought of the millions of dead whose deaths may be directly attributable to what these spies have done.”

Electric chair took care of the problem. But, we're a much kindler & gentler country now & the world appreciates us for it.....right?
