I know crop scouts that make a decent living. The problem is that they have to cover 10000 acres spread across 50 miles to do it. When they are being honest they admit they don't spend enough time in each field. I would like to be able to charge $15 per acre so I can concentrate on a smaller amount of acres and provide more services than just scouting for weeds and disease in the growing season.
If you ran a drainage tile service for $15/acre, you’d have all the business in the country! ;) |
