South Georgia

Here in south Georgia where ground water is abundant and pretty much everywhere, the standard design is to place the well 15-20’ from the well. I would say that 90% of pivots are installed that way. The biggest exception would be a situation where the well serves two pivots, so it can only be located near one. This design saves pipe and wire. You could also take advantage of having electricity there to power a webcam to monitor the stock tank. If you got creative you could probably install an AgSense panel and use it to monitor the stock tank.
