It can be manufactured for two cents per pill. No money to be made from an off patent 30 year old medicine. Generics galore. They want a patentable drug they can sell for 700 dollars a pop.
If they can't make money manufacturing it during a worldwide pandemic that could help 7 billion people, how could it be profitable before?
