I spent too long on local school board. I agree with not having too many retired teachers on the board. But at least one should be. Gives the board some insight from the teachers view. My time on the board was time well spent
As a current school board member I agree. 1 can provide insight. More than that I don’t really agree with. The boards job is not to actively manage at the classroom level. They need to operate at the big picture level and business minded, non educational background people are in my opinion the most valuable in those seats. |
