| My town has a whole group of people like this that demand their "voices be heard," which basically means "Vote the way I want, or I will bitch endlessly and holler and scream and threaten your job and business and do anything I can to intimidate you into voting the way I want you to vote, or make it such a personal hell for you to serve this term that you will never want to serve the public again." Which of course they see as freedom of speech, when most people think it is uninformed idiots spouting off about things that they don't understand.
Any time someone says they are welcome to run for the position, the answer is "That won't work, no one will vote for me after all the hell I've raised over the years."
