Subject: RE: Farming vs. working men-women

SC Wisconsin
I worked at a factory fir 8.5 years, started at 8.25 as a temp when I was 22 years old. The last 3-4 years I worked there I was making close to 30 an hour, over 80k a year. 401k, health insurance, they paid for more schooling. Not bad for a single 20 something year old kid. I burned out last year. Make less money now, but I enjoy it much more. I hated that place like nothing I've ever hated before. That's the part they don't tell you about all these jobs when they pitch the great pay and benefits. The management couldn't manage 2 marbles in a box, they treat you like trash, and everything has become so automated that it's mindless work and half the job is just doing paper work. You're a nobody there, and they aren't afraid to remind you of that. I don't need a pat on the back and a gold star for doing my job, but don't act like the only reason things get done is because you managed it done.
