Cherokee County, Northwest Iowa | What is the best kind of gutter guards to buy? My limited research today on the internet has me leaning towards a micromesh product, Atlas Gutter Guard by Gutter Glove Co, can order them from Lowe's. Appears that company also sells 2 other lines of guards to contractors. Only other kind I would consider are the aluminum ones with larger holes. Research said don't even consider plastic. Plan A is to buy something this week, install on garage rain gutters, see how they do next summer handling heavy rains (assuming that we might get some), and then get brave next summer and do the rest of the house if satisfied with whatever I chose. Looks like the key to making these work is to buy a brush and a long handle and brush off them off once in a while from the ground (sure to beat having a fat, old guy climbing up a ladder everytime the downspout gets plugged).
