Southwest Illinois | He pays for a lot of stuff from "other income sources" so that doesn't count against cost of production. I have seen $9000 5300 tool bars even in a deflated market and they are 99% junk worn out coop bars. If a guy has 2000 acres of corn that cost of $25 per ton amounts to $5500. Dirt cheap. I can live with the arguments of having it when you need it, being able to maintain it to your standards, etc. But don't tell me you can take $25 per ton and maintain anything remotely decent that can cover a sizeable amount of acres. | |
