Stratford WI | After 81 years it was time for him to go home.
Grew up on a small farm near Elmore Ohio, joined the navy in 58 and got out in 61. Married mom and worked as an electrician till 69 when the farming bug got the better of him and they moved to Loyal WI. Had open heart surgery in 75 and was out of the farming game till 79 when he went back into dairying in northern Clark county WI. Heart attack in 89 was pretty much the end of the farming for him. Always told him that his blood samples must have been half cow s%&*.
Here's a pic of him on his first tractor back in 69 and running one of mine the last time he was out in the field a few years ago.
