southern MN | I’ll bet they paid. Business is about making money, not standing on principles.
The price structure is figured out to where it’s cheaper to pay off and just make more money than to try to rebuild the entire network and waste the time.
Of course we all know we end up paying for it, and the attacks will be more and cost more because they are rewarded.
But big business is about money, not principles.
I’m sure they paid. I’m sure 90% of business pays. Heck years ago an east coast police force was hacked, they paid to get their info back. If the law pays off the pirates, I’m sure everyone else does too.
