Subject: You meet the nicest people on a Honda

Saginaw Bay Area - Michigan
Wife and I were stopped for a lunch break on our SxS last week in WI. Was on an old RR Grade converted to recreational use and looking over a lake a bit south of Cumberland, WI.

Gentleman on a Honda ATV stopped to say hi. Had a bucket with some ears of corn. Conversation went from there. He was checking moisture on a nearby field. Very nice local farmer, invited us over to see his place and new building location for the retirement house. Unfortunately we had a long day planned and had to politely decline. Didn't catch his name, would not be surprised if he's on here. Said his son was a guide in Alaska.

I still find it interesting how locals in WI use their recreational trail systems as transportation conduits for daily business. This person was out doing farm work. See people out running errands in their SxS and same for sleds in the winter jumping over to friends or the nearest eating facility (which of course is a bar in WI, but don't want to imply they are a bunch of drunks).

Pic is of the RR Grade trail. Was 70 and sunny, light breeze and fall colors were rolling. A few combines out in soys in the area, lots of fields were _real close_ looking from the outside.
