I'm on entirely too much. I got started on Fb to keep up with my Jr High Sunday School class kids. I think the youngest is graduating college this year so it's been a while. As others have said, Facebook is what you make it In addition to normal discussion and being part of various farm / volunteer fire / ebay seller groups I help admin various pages and groups. I fully expect to get dinged because of my statements not meeting Facebook Community Standards. Its community is not mine. Giving away puppies or cats will get you in trouble. Same for selling farm grown meat. Or using any of various keywords that have been deemed hateful or anti-Covid But all in all it has been good. I've caught up with friends I lost track of. There's even AgTalk folks I've friend listed. Made new friends. Bought and sold stuff. Gotten very frustrated with the whole mess. But I'm still there every day. Be warned, it is addictive. Here are a few places I play: Farmers Toy Store (WARNING! You WILL be tempted to spend money here) https://www.facebook.com/groups/269323953208025/ Our local community page: https://www.facebook.com/WestUnionIL Our church page: https://www.facebook.com/WestUnionChristianChurch Our farm page: https://www.facebook.com/Bumpus-Farms-119521951452317 Grain Drying and handling: https://www.facebook.com/groups/439037680022058 Facebook Group Admins https://www.facebook.com/groups/groupadminhelpcenter Friends of our local Fire Dept group https://www.facebook.com/groups/FriendsOfWUVFD/ Martinsville Agriculture & Industrial Arts Program https://www.facebook.com/groups/330830763930540 Crawford County Farm Online Yard Sale https://www.facebook.com/groups/ccfoys/ One man's Crap Is Another Man's Treasure group https://www.facebook.com/groups/murrayannasautos/ ebay and eBay and Nothing but eBay group https://www.facebook.com/groups/1690388947938807/ Volunteer Firefighters ONLY group https://www.facebook.com/groups/236896147154784 |
