Lawyers never make a good fence and only make more bills. Talk with your neighbor about cleaning up the fence line on your side also and reinstalling a new fence. Even though your probably in the right, it's not worth the fight or money involved. Instead of paying a lawyer, just get the fence line redone, problem over.
