Iowa | Interesting - I wonder why he got caught on beans but not corn - was he figuring he could hide less volume and get more dollars? Always interesting trying to figure out their angle.
It takes all kinds - neighbor (gone now) used to do something with bin measurements- said the best one he ever saw was filling bins with cobs, then putting a layer of material then topping with grain - I think that was for sealing grain. Can you imagine the work involved to pull the corn/beans back off the top of that — probably on a 3k bushel bin at ldp prices? If you’re willing to work that hard to scam the system and got caught —LOL. Can you imagine the look on the guys face when they probed that bin - not only is it fraud, but you went through all that work and now have to empty that for nothing! | |
