Not entirely as that is exactly why they want high priced oil. Its their way of forcing the market to "want" electric vehicles.
What the general, dumb as a rock, public doesn't realize is that high priced oil leads to high priced electricity. It just lags behind giving the Liberals their window of opportunity to get the public to "want" this crap.
