I remember reading the requirement to have crop insurance and thinking it was odd that they skipped a year and started with 2022 instead of just using 2021 as the start date. Later when the QLA program came out, I noticed the same language in that program. I started the QLA application, but the loss adjustment as a percentage of price wasn't high enough to qualify on corn so I canceled the application.
