I caught on to that eventually too, but it had good pictures of deficiencies, and quoted a lot of American universities. I THINK they're talking about "northern grain growing areas" meaning North America, because the North of Australia is more tropical/dry than the South.

Yes, the terms are bit confusing sometimes. And they didn't mention PH one bit, not a factor for rye, or just not practical to do anything about in Australia (high PH instead of low?)?

edit: "northern grain growing areas" refers to NE Australia, NOT North America.

I still like the "what else could it be" graphics, very straight forward, understandable and useful info.
