Subject: RE: 4” versus 3” tile

Holland, Indiana (SW IN)
Have a Lebrecht pull type with Lazer bought the setup in 1995 used 4" first few years last 20 years 3" most on everything 30' or closer spacing
Use the 4" boot-- bolt a piece of metal inside top of boot to make sure the tile stays down the 1" it could raise up
Works for us -like the 5500 ft per roll 6 Maxi's on a Semi 33,000 feet per load
everything we have dug into to (3") has been clean we use knife cut (sand slit)

Unless running a long distance with very little slope (.05 %) we like the 3"
FWIW 3" on .05 % slope will carry .4 acre inch in 24 hours ----so should carry .8 acre of water (1/2 " removed in 24 hours)
About 1000' with a 30' spacing---- but .05% is darn near flat
