Yes you can. Just know that the guy sampling can be the biggest error influence on results. It doesn't matter to a lab how you sample. They will test what you give them and send you an answer. The trick is as a sampler to be consistent and as accurate as you can be so that the answer you get from the lab actually means something worthwhile.
Lots of easier ways to do it, but if you want quality results it takes time. It's an art to do it "right".
Do you do manure or have a history of it? Do you lime for ph? Or are you doing it for npk s zn? What size grids? Have you considered zone or a combination of grids and zones? How many acre you plan to do?
