Tetanus is one of the diseases that is included in the primary immunizations recommended for every child.
The recommended schedule includes 4 doses in the first 18 months of life and then a booster at 4 to 6 and again at 11 to 12 years.
After that and maybe most applicable to us old folks, boosters are given when you have an injury ..........so, yes Tetanus vaccine works and there’s good reasons for it to work, one of which is you have been immunized and boostered repeatedly throughout your life.
If you haven’t, there’s still ways to prevent you getting tetanus after receiving a wound.
