Could be worse, farm neighbor was car jacked while filling up at a gas station in st. Louis, then spotted their car on the way home, followed it right back to their own house! The car thief's found address on the papers in the car and decided to go to rob the owners house too! They had already changed the car plates to Texas plates on the way, I guess the theives figured owners wouldn't get home as quick as they did. This was a few weeks ago. When they pulled in the driveway the thief's figured out they were being tailed and booked it. Just unbelievable
Leo’s in Seattle are telling people to keep electronic proof of insurance and registration on their phone instead of papers in their cars for that reason. Thief steals a nice car and can figure on the address in the glove box being a house full of nice things that is conveniently unoccupied since the owners are out with no ride back.
