Subject: RE: Winter Cover Crop Before Corn Question

Western OK
If it was me and I was still conventional till I would run spikes just as deep as I could without the harrows leave it as rough as I could and then in the spring I would spread 200 lb of 46 ahead of field cultivator. Then I would plant.

The thing about dryland corn, and this is my second year for doing it, is that you have to do it cheap because it will fail. I just finished our last Field tonight and our worst field was 93.6 and our best is yet to be determined cuz I have not figured the tickets are last two fields. So far our best is 111. That was our best ground and I think they are going to do better than 111 but I have not figured them yet.

The thing about corn is a lot of varieties from different companies are the same. Full disclosure is I am starting to become a dealer for Phoenix corn, I have planted Rob seco, golden harvest, and Phoenix corn. These all have syngenta genetics.

If you would like to visit with me more email me your number and I will be glad to call you.
