I have always though of okra being a hot weather crop like cotton. The biggest problem we have with okra is aphids and stinkbugs. Not a lot of labeled chemicals for it that don't have to long of a pre harvest interval when we are harvesting. Here it needs picked every other day. There used to be some commercial production around back several years ago but very few willing to work that hard these days.
