| A different idea is a 400 bbl tank filled with a 2 or 3” trash pump. Here I could put that together for about $5k.
I managed to rent a pasture this summer that had no water on it. It was a last minute deal so I’m pumping from a pond nearby to a 100bbl tank that gravity fills a tire tank. This was just stuff I had laying around. It’s not ideal as I have to fire up the pump every day. Definitely going to setup a couple bigger tanks next year.
I have a 5 gal pail on the end of the suction line. I drilled a bunch of 1/8” holes and just throw a small rock in it and toss it into the pond to act as a strainer. | |
