SW Nebraska Panhandle | I have a couple tanks with electric stock tank floats. They switch off and on the submersible pump and consist of a float and road that activates an electric switch. Simple but not as reliable as I would like. Sometimes the rod hangs up plus we have horned cattle that can hit the float or switch. I do not want to have to check my cows every day just to make sure the float is working.
I could install a larger tank so the cattle have water long enough in case the float does not work. But I would like to hear of any products or ideas others have for an electric float switch that is ultra-reliable. Doesn't sound like rocket science but there has to be a better way.
