sc ks | Can you explain how treasury yields can spike when the fed is the bid? Can't they just expand their balance sheet exponentially to keep rates low by buying all the treasuries? I assume the risk is the dollar tanking but thus far that hasn't been the case....seems like all Fiats are in the same boat. So until we lose reserve status the party continues and we need to be hitched to the balloon (long assets) else get left behind (cash or short assets). That could be another 50 years. Maybe Burry can afford to be wrong that long but I sure cant. Eventually the market will overpower the Fed but it hasn't shown the ability to so far. | |
