Up in the fuselage near the tail is where the airplane's onboard APU or Auxiliary Power Unit is located. The APU can provide electrical power and maybe hydraulics and air conditioning when the airplane is on the ground or during an in-flight emergency.
The APU is powered by a little turboshaft power unit.
