NW Illinois | I have a 2006 Case 410 skid steer and I'm trying to get the back up alarm working. I know most farmers unplug these because they as they get annoying, but I have children around at times and want to be as safe as possible when operating the loader.
When I first got the loader earlier this year the backup alarm would sometimes work intermittently and now it does not work at all. This style of loader has 2 pressure switches that activate the alarm. Last night I checked the backup alarm by unhooking the wires that were hooked up to it and took power from a another 12 V battery power source and back up alarm and the alarm did not work at all. By doing this, the alarm should be working, correct?
What's the easiest way to check to make sure voltage is going back to the back up alarm? Since its a pressure switch that would activate the alarm you would have to be back up. Would the voltage be 12 volts at the alarm?
Any help would be appreciated!
