Most all cherry and some grape are non determinate tomato plants. Most standard tomato plants you purchase are determinate if home owner or now even commercial growers.Non determinate will grow to 16 ft in greenhouse situations, this is one cultivation of tomatoes where you need non determinate. Some determinate grow only to 3 sets and cease. Most plants bought at big box stores are treated with a growth retardant to keep them compact for sales time.I dont know a thing of 24d on tomatoes other than a minute amount will cause severe stunting even if you use horse poop from a horse fed hay that had an application of say Crossbow it will kink up tomatoes a couple years later.I think she should be trying this again next year.
