I've never been within 50 feet of a JCB but for what you are describing a side entry machine would be really handy.

We have a cat track loader and while it's great for grading/loading/mowing/ etc. - crawling under the arms is extremely unhandy and dangerous and crawling over the arms to get out at times when the loader is up is a pain and dangerous because now you have the risk of slipping and falling a few feet instead of being squished .

I'll add a #4 to your list- parking machinery in the shed looking straight ahead instead of twisting your head around. And again a side entry machine would be nicer getting out and putting the pin in and swinging the tongue jack.

We like this cat well enough we won't get rid of it but wouldn't mind having a good fork lift someday. If we had a side entry machine I don't think we would think about getting a forklift near as much.
