What the drug companies tell the doctors. But there is a "rest of the story". The drug companies run or fund the tests. But what they don't say unless you look into the actual test is that they have a "run in" period before the actual test starts. During this run in period people that do not tolerate the drug well are excluded from the test.............. Seriously? ???.. Yes seriously. No wonder they saw few side effects in the trials.
I recently talked to a neighbor who is a veteran, he is on a statin drug and goes to the VA hospital system, he told me about the bad
side effects. I asked him why he continues to take it. They almost force those patients to use these drugs. I told him he should just
get the prescription but to not take them. He had not thought about that............ |
