NorthWest Indiana
Brought the grandkids 6 holsteins home from the fair last Saturday. One of the heavy steers always wanted to be where he wasn't supposed to be so we had a date to drop at the processor Sunday evening, he didn't know it, but he volunteered this spring! Anyway, after we hauled him out, I turned the other two heavies in belly deep grass and then attacked the manure pile and then settled down to eat and enjoy. Turned out the 3 smaller ones (500-600 pounders) and they ran and bucked like bucking bulls out of the chutes. Couple hours later, wife was going to town and she calls and says she ran one of the little ones back into the pasture. Forgot to turn on the fence (really shouldn't need it). Not saying what is or isn't working but we count to five all the time looking out to the front pasture!!!
