| paul the original - 8/5/2021 04:00 It has to do with 90 degree rotation. The computer world expects a short wide picture. The phone world loves tall shiny pictures that don’t show much. When combined phone picture with a computer based software, unpredictable things happen, as a vertical pic is ‘wrong’ and should be short and wide like a tv screen. Tablets are somewhere in between, because they take proper sized pictures, but can be rotated left it right or upside down. Tablets see which way the pic should be; computers get confused as they don’t understand all this rotating stuff. This is not a technical description, I can be proved wrong in my details. But it is the nuts and bolts of what happens..... Paul
even the vertical pics, when uploaded are horizontal, and still cut off, the horizontal pics are close to original but are still cropped some. I've tried lower resolution and different aspect ratios with little change. |
