WCIN | Cornish cross? You all confined or they headed out side?
My experience has been Cornish cross in chicken tractors like to die, especially if they are more than 7 weeks old.
We let our last batch of 60 go an extra week to accommodate family get together and it cost us almost a 50% mortally rate. It also coincided with the hot weather in June so that didn’t help. My next batch will be rangers.
Still amazing how much meat you can harvest from a chicken in such a short span of time. | |
