Astoria area is great. Astoria Column, Fort Clatsop Lewis and Clark, Fort Steven’s (was shelled by a Japanese sub during WWII, Peter Iredale shipwreck, Columbia Jetty, the Maritime Museum, Warrenton, Astoria and Ilwaco fishing charters. I like the area, not too touristy, feels more like a working town. I personally can’t stand Cannon Beach and Seaside…way to touristy and lots of annoying people! Central and south Oregon coast is great as well.

Yes, lots to do in that area. We went and stayed in Warrenton last year, stopped by a few of those sites.

Arnie’s Cafe serves up breakfasts that’ll have loggers skipping lunch, and there’s a good Chinese food joint in Astoria just a block or two from where the bridge is overhead.
