You hit on it barely...........but I'm betting you don't continuous crop your dryland wheat. Very little of that around these parts..........and none that I know of hasn't at least had a sweep plow pulled on it. Volunteer problems, disease, and mosaic sure come to mind when I think about the things that could likely go wrong.
