That’s basically what I did.

Took spring off installed used air bags. Installed a compressor like this in cab.

If want more pressure reach down turn it on for while. I have air gauge and bleed off valve so know what is going on. And I use agleader to tell me what is going on at row units.

That said it would be better to have a compressor always aired up, that way I could make changes faster. I strip till lot of corn but will lift up and notill water prone areas. Be nice to go from light to heavy quick right now have to plan ahead quite a bit.
