An old, semi-retired lender came to our bank. We'd never met him or heard of him. In our opening interview, he laid it out for us:  "I will do everything in my power to help you make your operation what you need it to be. I will absolutely bend over backwards to provide the lending services, products and support to make you guys successful. Give me what you want to do, provide me with the relevant information behind the decision and I will try it all to make it happen. I will not bug you between refi dates unless you ask me for something. That said, don't ever lie to me. Don't ever lie to me. If you lie to me, I will kick the **** out of you and leave you bleeding to death along the side of the road."  Best lender we ever had. And he trained up a young woman to follow behind him when he fully retired. We have been blessed.
