Frytown, Iowa | Lean cautiously optimistic… have faith in your customer if they have the numbers and the personality of coming through… don’t just give loans to those that don’t need them.
Amd if your dealing with young farmers that have a decent plan, motivation and often a lofty goal… at least go to bat for them. Tell them you will give it your best shot before the board. Last thing a guy wants to hear is a banker that won’t go to bat for them no matter how unrealistic the plan appears.
Obviously that’s after you have talked all the risks through with them.
