Subject: RE: 7.3 diesel Ford Powerstroke

Southeast
The only time my 2000 Powerstroke has left me on the side of the road that was the problem. The filters/screens in the tank were clogged. Had the tank dropped and cleaned and filters/screens replaced. Never had a since. Since then I have been running Power Diesel Services diesel clean fuel additive (grey bottle) every fill up and their biocide 2-3 times per year. 400k and counting.

On a side note: In 2003 we bought three 6.0 Powerstrokes for service trucks. They had so many problems in the first two years I was able to return two of them under the lemon law act. The other one got totaled in an accident. A fast as I could I found three 7.3 trucks with service beds. We still use all three of them.
We also have two 6.7's which have been good trucks. But if you grew up with that 7.3 'rattle' you miss it when driving these trucks.
