nw/nc iowa on the banks of West Buttrick Creek..
One good thing about being 75, I don't have to kiss asses anymore, farm their wet farms and clean up their messes that have been accumulating for 50 years. I have done it many times, sometimes for folks who appreciate it and some who think you are their slave on call 24/7. Two families I had a 55 year relationship and my son now owns the farms. One thing learned it that drainage always pays, I have seen people throw money at a wet spot for years and never get any crop off of it and when there is a outlet 500 ft away. Very rarely have I seen a spot that could not be drained. Working on my last acres that are not pattern tile, starting to double up on the heaviest soils. Nice thing about tile plows, you can do spots that no contractor would do.
