NW Central Ohio | ...I'm trying to figure out why folks are putting Magnesium Sulfate on their tomatoes to solve a calcium deficiency....but if it works for them then more power to 'em.
...The thing you probably need is some Gypsum....and it will contribute calcium along with some sulfur...You mix it in the soil in the early spring...and by the time you need the calcium..it should be releasing what you need.
...the next thing you need is mulch...Tomatoes love to be evenly moist. You don't want ponding one week, dried out the next. You want it as even as you can run the irrigation.
