Worked swing rotating shift for over 30 yrs., Cow -calf producer also, the 4-12 shift was the worst.It wears your a$$ out! There was no putting up hay on that shift. It made for some long days getting other chores done. Always said if I worked that shift straight I would quit. 12-8 shift fit the farm best,but its not for everyone. The world does not understand shift work.
