If the trial would have ran longer, would have more difference shown up? We don't know. I think the doctor you linked to (Dr Bret Scher) covered it pretty good. TRE works really well with a low carb real food diet because such diet tends to work because a person does not have to go hungry. This aids in the program making it easier to skip a meal. At least that is the way it works for my wife and I. We just are not hungry for breakfast so we don't eat it. However, if we were on a high carb diet that would not be the case. Been there done that. So TRE may not be beneficial on the standard American diet, although it should help to lower insulin levels compared to eating many times a day with snacks. | |
